An illustration of a mountain man with his his companions
An illustration that I created in the late 1970's imagining hunting with my son as he was growing up.
It was such a pleasure and one of the highlights in my life when we were in the wooded land hunting for mushrooms and enjoying the abundance of wildlife. At that time we had plenty of bobwhite quail and pheasants in our area, but the blizzard of 1978 took care of our flock of quail. After the blizzard I raised some quail and pheasants, released them back to the area, but they didn't reproduce.
