These are some notes from the meeting that we had this last Tuesday.
The artists that will be exhibiting at the BRAG Holiday Show are Karin Stechschulte, Linda Black, Bruce Stowe, Anna Burwell, Katrina Simbaku, Anne and Steve Coburn-Griffis, Jeanne Beutler, Oscar and Pam Velasquez, Mary Recker, Becca Schroeder, Emily Fruth, Don Huber.
A few guidelines for the exhibiting artist are;
Every artist is responsible for the display of their artwork and the surrounding display including any tables they need along with flyers, cards, pricelists and foodtray if they want to provide snacks for the public. ( All beverages will be available from The Daily Grind).
Each artist has the option of donating a pc of art to the daily drawing. (This is not required)
Each artist is encouraged to design and send out their own show invitations to family and friends.
If you have artwork for sale it must be clearly marked on each piece.
Oscar Velasquez will give a watercolor demo at 4:00 on Saturday
Mary Recker has greenware that the can be decorated on Saturday
Bruce Stowe will be giving an oil painting demo at 3:00 on Sunday
Other artists are encouraged to work on projects at different times throughout the show
Oscar Velasquez will be playing holiday songs at 5:00 on Saturday
Mary Jo Bockrath will play the flute on Saturday from 6:00 - 7:00 and again on Sunday at 1:00
On Sunday we also have the Holiday Brass Ensemble performing at 2:00
The O-G Holiday Jazz Band will also be playing, but I'm still waiting on the performance times
Tammy and Mark head up the press releases to the area papers
Pam and Linda design and setup the preshow display at The Daily Grind
Mary Jo will send show info to area radio stations
Bruce and Oscar will appear on the WLIO noon show in Lima
We will be printing show flyers designed by Judy Ruen
Bonnie will distribute the flyers in the area
BRAG members will be marching in the Ottawa Christmas parade to promote the show on Sunday Nov. 25
We have t-shirts for the marchers
And finally the next meeting is Dec. 4th at The Daily Grind at 7:00 ( we will discuss the show and any last minute details)
